Ziyad has more than 25 years of corporate finance, private equity, banking, trust services and audit experience. Ziyad brings a unique perspective in deal origination, investment structuring and mergers & acquisitions.
He served the Mauritius-listed Rogers Group as Chief Finance & Investment Executive from 2011 to 2017. Between 2006 and 2011, he led the private equity arm of the Mauritius Commercial Bank as Managing Director of MCB Capital Partners, where he initiated and managed the acquisition of Speedy in France, the greenfield development of a fibre-optics network in Reunion island and the fund’s investment in a Madagascar-based prawn farming project which pioneered the protocol for Bio label of prawns in Europe.
Ziyad qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the United Kingdom and is an avid reader of history, international politics, political and business biographies. He is married to Dilshaad and has two boys.
